An investigation has begun after two Egyptian officers, who were being lifted back onto their plane from a pyramid in Cairo on Sunday, were killed when their rope broke, local website Youm7 reported on Monday.
The Armed Forces have expressed their condolences on their official Facebook page, and said the "martyred" officers, Wael al-Mur and Mohammed Zakaria, were taking part in a search-and-rescue exercise.
